A Tribute to Joni Mitchell
This image is from the website announcing a new record, with artists such as Prince, James Taylor, Elvis Costello, Bjork, Annie Lenox and others, covering some of Joni's songs. Joni Mitchell has been, since I first heard her "Blue" album, my favorite vocalist - songwriter. She has burrowed deep into my heart.

Her voice in her latest recordings is deeper, almost husky, but still like a bell. So looking forward to the new CD!
Oh, me tooooo! She defines my youth. Many of her songs reach deep into my heart and remind me of some excruciatingly deep and powerful emotions, and when I hear her -- especially this song, "A Case of You" -- it all comes flooding back:
I remember that time that you told me, you said
Love is touching souls
Surely you touched mine
Cause part of you pours out of me
In these lines from time to time
Oh you are in my blood like holy wine
And you taste so bitter but you taste so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you
I could drink a case of you darling
Still Id be on my feet
And still be on my feet
Oh and you taste so bitter, bitter and so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you darling
Still Id be on my feet
Id still be on my feet
OK, now I'm a mess again...

I absolutely adore Joni Mitchell... her blue album was so captivating and inspiring for me.
There are a lot of fans out there and I am one of them also, I listened to her and saw her here in Toronto during the 60's, the coffee houses in the old Yorkville area, you know, the hippy days, makes me realize how old I've become...ciao
