Wesley Autrey

Bravo Wesley Autrey – who jumped onto the rails of the NYC subway system this afternoon as a train was bearing down on a young man who had fallen off the platform during a seizure. He pressed the young man down with his own body into the narrow, shallow space between the tracks and the two of them survived as the train came roaring overhead.

Who said New Yorkers don’t have huge hearts?

Amazing. I just watched an intervie with him on tv. He most concerned that his daughters know that he was ok, as he shouted to the crowd to tell them.
Really amazing.

Whoosh! What quick thinking and courageous action. I don't think I've heard (or maybe haven't listened to) an ill word spoken of New Yorkers, so this delights, but does not surprise me.

Ah, yes what a hero. Most of the New Yorkers I know have big hearts - and they also know to avoid that third rail!
